Discerning Temperament
Those with wisdom or intelligent temperament tend to think intelligently and weigh things and do not easily believe what others say (buddhi carita).
Those with speculative temperament like to think a lot, but do not practically carry out what he thinks, and therefore do not get far nor finish enough in reality (vitakka carita).
What is the source of these temperaments[1]? How can a person’s temperament be known? These are some very important and relavant questions in the assessment not only of character but also in the determination of a suitable form of practice for the individual to pursue and carry on with.
